Description
The all-blue male Indigo Bunting sings with cheerful gusto and looks like a scrap of sky with wings. Sometimes nicknamed "blue canaries," these brilliantly colored yet common and widespread birds, whistle their bouncy songs through the late spring and summer all over eastern North America. The Indigo Buntings migrates at night, using the stars to navigate. Its habitat is farmland, brush areas, and open woodland.

I've seen these birds and they are so hard to capture! So I appreciate this awesome capture Laura! Very nice! f/v
Laura D Young replied:
Thanks, Elizabeth. They are very hard because they are typically ground feeders. They are here in GA now and I had to set up a tripod using a remote shutter release. They are so shy.
